Role and department

At our location in Delfzijl, more than 270 people are employed. At this site, the para-aramid polymer, which forms the basis of the high-performance aramid fiber Twaron, is manufactured through multiple complex steps in four independent chemical plants. In a separate facility, we recover solvents for reuse. After drying, the polymer is packaged and transported to Teijin Aramid’s other major production site in Emmen, where it is spun into Twaron.

At Teijin Aramid, we recognize that learning is a continuous process. We offer extensive training opportunities, ranging from internal workshops to external courses. Whether you want to improve your technical skills, develop leadership qualities, or challenge yourself in other areas, we support your growth. Our onboarding program is designed to integrate you quickly and effectively into our company. ("We work according to the reverse mentoring principle. You will be assigned a mentor, participate in informative sessions, and gain hands-on knowledge and experience in various aspects of your role.") This ensures that you feel at home from day one and understand how your role contributes to the success of Teijin Aramid.

Your profile

You have completed a vocational education (mbo) at level 3 or 4 in Electrotechnology and/or Mechatronics or a related field of study. In addition, you have:

  • A VOL VCA diploma (or willing to obtain it in the short term). •
  • Affinity with automation.
  • Basic knowledge of PLC control systems and ability to work with MS Office, machine-related applications, and applied SAP modules (S4H).
  • A proactive attitude, especially towards safety, as this is of the highest priority within Teijin Aramid, as articulated in our Life Saving Rule.

If you can't tick all the boxes yet but have the motivation to develop into a planner, feel free to contact us. Motivated colleagues are always welcome.

Our offer

  • A permanent contract. In practice, you work 6 consecutive days (2 early shifts, 2 late shifts, and 2 night shifts) and then have 4 days off.
