Coordinator E/I

The E/I coordinator is responsible for coordinating all E&I activities carried out during shutdowns. It is their task to ensure that all employees can work safely. Of course, this is not done alone. You are supported in carrying out the work by employees from the workshop, contractors, and hired supervisors. To monitor the schedule, you maintain frequent contact with the shutdown planners and coordinators. Key responsibilities include:

  • Safety First: Ensure compliance with QHSE rules, identify risks, and proactively take measures.
  • Efficiency and Quality: Monitor progress and quality of E&I activities, report to planners and coordinators, and discuss possible solutions for deviations.
  • Coordination and Communication: Coordinate technical and logistical execution, set priorities, and ensure a smooth handover to production. Select suitable performers and supervise their performance.

Role and department

At our location in Delfzijl, more than 270 people work. In this location, four independent chemical factories manufacture the para-aramid polymer in multiple complex steps, which forms the basis of the high-quality aramid fiber Twaron. In a separate facility, solvents are recovered for reuse. After drying, the polymer is packaged and transported to the other major production location of Teijin Aramid in Emmen, where it is spun into Twaron.

As the E&I Coordinator, you play a crucial role in technical expertise, safety, and collaboration. You select effective methods and tools, ensuring safety and providing accurate reporting. Collaboration is essential, as you support colleagues, share information, and provide instructions for optimal teamwork. You also work closely with installation managers and technicians, translating work instructions into practical tasks.
