Ultra-high performance tire reinforcement
Twaron® sets the standard in ultra-high performance (UHP) tire reinforcement. Tires designed with this para-aramid fiber boost performance, durability, and sustainability across diverse ultra high-performance tire applications, tailored to meet the demands of each specific tire type.
Passenger Car Tires
Twaron® is used in the cap ply reinforcement of high-performance passenger car tires. This layer maintains the tire's shape at high speeds, preventing expansion due to centrifugal forces while providing excellent handling behaviour and reduces flat spotting.
Electric Vehicle Tires
EV tires benefit from Twaron® in belt and carcass reinforcement, offering weight reduction and efficient torque transfer. Twaron® reinforcement enhances energy efficiency and load-carrying capacity.
Aircraft Tires
In aircraft tires, Twaron® reinforces the belt layer, providing a lighter tire that can be retreaded multiple times, enhancing durability and reducing overall weight.
Motorcycle Tires

Twaron® for sustainable tire design
Twaron® is a key component in creating lightweight tires, reducing CO₂ emissions by up to 2g per kilometer per car. This environmental benefit is based on a TÜV-certified Customer Benefit Model calculation for a 275 45 R19 108Y tire. As the aramid fiber producer with the lowest carbon footprint, we lead the way in producing aramid fiber with renewable content, supporting sustainable tire design.
