Sustainability Report 2023
We’re proud to share our Sustainability Report 2023. This report highlights our progress towards our sustainability goals. You'll find details about how we’re advancing towards a circular economy, cutting waste, using more renewable energy, and aiming for net-zero emissions by 2050.
Looking back at last year, we've learned a lot from the information we gathered for the report. We've pinpointed key areas where we can do even better, reinforcing our belief that continuous innovation and collaboration are crucial for sustainable progress.
Key highlights:
- All our manufacturing and research facilities in the Netherlands now run on 100% renewable electricity.
- We’ve cut the carbon footprint of Twaron® by 28% since 2014.
- Our efforts have avoided 313,000 tons of CO₂ emissions across our value chain.
- We’ve increased the retrieval of aramid waste by 24% compared to last year.
- We earned an EcoVadis Gold Medal for the eighth consecutive time, placing us in the top 5% of companies worldwide.
“Our journey toward sustainability is about more than just our operations. It's about leading our industry towards a more sustainable future through innovation and responsibility.”
