    For the most demanding applications in the friction world, Teijin Aramid has tailored range of performance grades & eco-advanced Twaron® pulp. Twaron® pulp is available in various fiber lengths, and different degrees of fibrillation.

    Delivering consistent quality

    Twaron® pulp undergoes rigorous testing in our specialized application laboratory, demonstrating its significant impact on the processability of friction materials. It enhances strength and thermal stability, reducing wear and stabilizing the friction coefficient of brake pads. The degree of fibrillation directly correlates with pulp performance. 

    Easing the production process

    The properties of Twaron® improve both the end product and the production process. Adding Twaron pulp to brake pad formulations results in a more homogeneous mixture of materials, high dust-binding capacity, and excellent pre-form stability, making it ideal for cold pre-pressing.

    Our Twaron® pulp has the lowest CO2 per kg compared to the competition.
    Twaron® eco-advanced pulp, made from 100% recycled Twaron fibers, offers an optimal grade with half the carbon footprint of other grades. It's perfect for use in friction products delivering performance and sustainability. Additionally, Twaron® reinforced brakes emit less brake dust compared to semi metallic brake pads. This leads to less particulate matter being released into the environment.
