For the most demanding applications in the friction world, Teijin Aramid has tailored range of performance grades & eco-advanced Twaron® pulp. Twaron® pulp is available in various fiber lengths, and different degrees of fibrillation.

Twaron® pulp undergoes rigorous testing in our specialized application laboratory, demonstrating its significant impact on the processability of friction materials. It enhances strength and thermal stability, reducing wear and stabilizing the friction coefficient of brake pads. The degree of fibrillation directly correlates with pulp performance.
Easing the production process
The properties of Twaron® improve both the end product and the production process. Adding Twaron pulp to brake pad formulations results in a more homogeneous mixture of materials, high dust-binding capacity, and excellent pre-form stability, making it ideal for cold pre-pressing.

It's perfect for use in friction products delivering performance and sustainability. Additionally, Twaron® reinforced brakes emit less brake dust compared to semi metallic brake pads. This leads to less particulate matter being released into the environment.
