‘In-house’ days at Teijin Aramid in Emmen
Part of the mission of Teijin Aramid is to improve the quality of life and to operate in harmony with society. We aim to find a balance between economic developments (profit) and the conservation of the environment (planet) and our contribution to society (people). We call this corporate social responsibility. Teijin Aramid is convinced of the importance of CSR and actively pursues this in various ways. At corporate level, as well as at production site level. One important way to do this, is by keeping our surrounding stakeholders updated on our activities. We do this annually with the publication of our CSR report; but also, we actively make contact with external stakeholders and engage in a dialogue. We do this for instance, by organizing an ‘in-house day’.
Program
On Friday, April 16th, an ‘In-house’ day is organized for all businesses that are located around the Emmtec Industry & Business Park in Emmen (Netherlands). In addition, we will welcome representatieves of several educational institutions, press and interest groups. We will do this together with the Municipalty of Emmen because we consider this a joint responsibility. Representatives from the Board of the Mayor and Aldermen will be present, the fire brigade, and the municipal department responsible for issuing and maintaining licenses. On Saturday, April 17th, we will also welcome people living in proximity of the Emmtec Industry & Business Park.
During the ‘in-house days’ we will inform all invited people about the developments at Teijin Aramid; specifically those that are related to our site in Emmen. The subject of safety will form an important item on the agenda. Also, it is possible to take a peek inside our factory during a guided tour.
