Long-term sponsor relations focused on improving the quality of life
The theme of the sponsor policy of Teijin Aramid is Strength in unity. It indicates how we deal with all our stakeholders: we work on co-creation with our customers, we work jointly with our employees on our strategic goals, and also with other stakeholders we cooperate on projects. We take ‘strength’ from our product and from our employees and clients. By pooling our efforts we can do more than if we would do it alone. This is also embedded in our values: Passion, Unity, Respect and Excellence. These values are automatically reflected in our sponsor policy and are an important testing element for the sponsor applications and propositions.
The products of Teijin Aramid contribute to a better quality of life. In addition we focus on improving the working and living environment in our direct surroundings. It is of great importance to us that our employees and other stakeholders are proud of our company and of the corporate responsibility we show, which is also embedded in the corporate philosophy of our parent company Teijin Ltd – Enhancing the quality of life.
At a corporate level Teijin Aramid prefers to cooperate with sponsorships that provide a valuable and sustainable solution to society and a boost to the international brand recognition and positioning of our company.
Teijin Ltd. is main founder of the new development of the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam and delivers Twaron/carbon hybrid fibers for the panels that together constitute the remarkable construction of the bathtub. This investment fits in the philosophy of Teijin to support technological developments and solutions that contribute to an improvement of the quality of life.
In addition, we are main sponsor of the Arnhem Philharmonic Orchestra (Het Gelders Orkest) since 2002.
At a regional level we sponsor social and community initiatives and partners that focus on knowledge development of youth. Knowledge is the key to a successful future, but knowledge development of youth is also important for our company’s future success.
As an employer of choice Teijin Aramid sponsors student associations that are relevant for our company (employer branding). In addition we support education projects and student initiatives that focus on innovation and technology.
An example is the DUT-racing team (TU Delft) and Dutch education projects such as Jet-Net and the Technology tournament (Techniektoernooi).
We also support social and community activities that our own employees undertake in their leisure time.
In addition, from the request for donations and contributions that we receive during the year, we select a number of socially responsible initiatives to support financially.
